Fab-Con, Inc. To Co-Sponsor Charity Skeet Shoot Event

Maurice, LA July 9, 2012 – Fab-Con, Inc. is set to co-sponsor the upcoming “Shane Cayce Benefit Skeet Shoot” event on Saturday, July 14th at GOL Shooting, LLC.

The event, which is in honor of Shane Cacye, will be held at the grounds of GOL Shooting, Maurice, LA and runs between 8 am – 12 pm. Four levels of sponsorship are available from; corporate, gold, silver and tent. Food and drink will be provided during the event and registration is $100/per person with up to four people per team.

Shane Cayce was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the age of 5 and underwent experimental chemotherapy and radiation therapy. While his cancer did go into remission at that time, Cayce was diagnosed with congestive heart failure at the age of 23. These new complications were a direct result of the life saving cancer treatments of his youth. Today, Cayce is awaiting a heart transplant at the very same hospital that saved his life more than 30 years ago. The benefit in his name is to raise money and awareness for life-saving organ donation and lifetime anti-rejection medications.

“We decided to raise money and help sponsor the event because clients like Apache are part of our own family. We took this as an opportunity to give back to the people and friends that have been so good to us,” said Bobby Giles, President Fab-Con, Inc. “We consider Debra and Blaine Marcantel (Cayce’s in-laws) of Apache dear friends, and we’re thrilled to be able to help in this way.”

Debra Marcantel is in charge of the benefit event and is Shane Cayce’s mother in law. “Shane has continued to improve with the support of people like you. We are overwhelmed with the amount of caring that has come from Fab-Con,” she said.
